2016 has been a great year for David Smyth Catering. We are eternally grateful for the success that we have enjoyed as a company, but as individuals we are aware that there are many living in our society that are not as fortunate as we are. With this in mind, as a team we try to take time out whenever we can to offer our services free of charge to help the needy.

In early September, we started catering for the pupils of St Marys CBS in Mullingar. Our aim has been to improve the quality and cost of school food and we have noticed that more and more students are now using the school canteen each week.

Last Sunday we had some food left over so David and Amy headed to Dame street to share it with some of the city's less well off. David recalls that it was the coldest evening he has spent up there - just 3 degrees. It's hard to imagine how all the homeless people survive during the winter - bearing in mind it will only get colder.

David and the team had a fun day at Keenan Bauer Motors in Robinstown, Mullingar yesterday (20th October) at "LeGrandTour"! The showroom has been filled with rally themed fun driving simulators and guests also have the chance to have their photo taken by resident photographer – the new Citroen C3 – using its Citroën ConnectedCAM™.

This weekend (14th October) we will be packing up our van full of treats and heading off to the launch of "Farmaphobia" at Causey Farm! We love working at this annual event and feeding the crowds as they "recover" from the fun fright filled attractions including the Scarecus, Field of Screams and the Mutation Morgue!

We had a great couple of days catering at Smyths of Killucan Homevalue Hardware's grand opening on the 17th September! What a brilliant turnout and a massively successful occasion. Thank you for allowing us to be part of it.
